23rd Psalm, revised
Devlyn
I am a Shepherd.
I have no want.
I am the green pastures,
inviting rest and renewal.
I am the still water,
teaching trust and acceptance.
I am restored with love.
I am a Path of righteousness,
for Spirit's sake.
Though sometimes I am
the valley of the shadows of death,
I hold no evil,
for Spirit is in me.
I am both a rod of passion,
and a staff of healing.
I am a table
prepared in the midst of my enemies.
I am the oil
with which Spirit anoints.
I am overflowing with joy.
I am goodness and mercy,
ever patient, ever true.
I am the House
in which Spirit dwells,
forever.
So be it.

the guardian
Jennifer Monaghan
invisible in the shadows
of night
he slips silently
into the room
unseen
yet she senses
his presence
she opens her eyes
and finds him
the silhouette
barely visible
in the corner
he stands
still as a statue
watching
protecting her
a dark angel
with luminescent eyes
she beckons him with
her sleepy mind
and he approaches slowly
settling on the bed
at her feet
with a comforting sigh
he closes his eyes
and with a gentle purr
he lulls her into
the land of dream

Openings
Marriah Secrist
Yet do I have to grow like the wizened trees around me?
I shudder as my mind takes over my reality, in which my thoughts never seem to exist in another's soul.
Though the trees sway with the voice of the wind,
And the crickets chant to the ever-knowing and everlasting moon,
I sit in the dark,
Waiting for a star to fade me into a new reality, a new forest -
In which I will finally know myself.
Too long now I have been sick,
My questions and anxiety never ceasing to flow through my head.
I must chant with the crickets, although with my own magic,
And realize that in time, my reality will bond with my mind,
And the final step to my heaven will
Finally begin.

The First Dragon
Aaron Betson
A wizard met a knight,
who wanted to fight.
The wizard said "oh well",
and cast a spell.
The knight felt he had wings,
He thought they were weird things.
He accidentally ate a fire,
Then he flew higher.
He felt he had a tail,
And then he did wail.
He hit it with a sword,
parts stuck on his tail.
Then he saw a lord,
He sneezed on his wagon.
The wagon burnt up,
Because now he was a dragon,
And he never liked water,
Even in a cup.
Aaron is a ten year old
homeschooler.
When not immersed in a book,
he is most likely to be found at the computer.

two spoons of honey
Bill Angell
two spoons of honey in the tea
is just my way is being nice to me,
for if I don't give special care
to me and the Goddess dwelling there
why should She in all Her Grace
make me her dwelling place?
sorry if you think it vain or pride,
but I love me and the Goddess inside,
brash perhaps, but also true
I am quite proud of things I do
and forever Temple I be,
for the Goddess dwells in me.
it is also clear and true,
the Goddess dwells in you
give yourself the same love
you give the Moon Mother up above
and when you serve your teas
always say two spoons of honey please.
