The Tao of Within
with Tira Brandon-Evans CH FS

"To see Tao the observer must be motiveless.
Those with selfish motives see only the surface, not the innermost depths. These two kinds of observers look alike but differ in the insight of their observations. They look alike because they are both human; within humanity is the key to the door of creation."
The Tao Teh Ching

With selfish motives we blind ourselves to the consequences of our actions. We do harm and pretend others are at fault.

With selfish motives we deafen ourselves. Our words harm others and ourselves. We cannot hear wisdom. We manipulate others. When they rebel we say they are angry for no reason.

With selfish motives we see what we want to see and hear what we want to hear. We deceive ourselves.

The Tao is without motive, without words, without action. It is.

That which is not the Tao is always busy, always speaking, always pretence.

To dwell 'within' the Tao we must be human.

To be human we must dwell 'within' the Tao.
