This image is a re-creation of a work I did in acrylic while I was in my early 20's. It was 'inspired' so to speak, by a piece I had done as an exercise while in high school. The idea behind it is obviously pretty straight-forward.

The image the Earth as an egg represents its life-giving aspect, while simultaneously displaying its extreme fragility.

This iteration is much more colourful and intense than the original, and therefore, I feel, more visually stimulating. It was created using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7, with a Wacom Digitizer II tablet. I was very pleased that this project went swiftly and easily. Some ideas just seem to paint themselves…
