Nia - Global Unity DVD Debbie and Carlos Rosas ISBN#: 0-9639237-2-2 As you know, I've reviewed Unplugged, the newest DVD available. Global Unity was created in 2000. This DVD is better for the beginner. It is less earthy than Unplugged - focusing more on the correct movements while still allowing you the freedom of movement which Unplugged provides. Both DVD's are an expressive workout program but this one assists you to understand the energy you are moving through and around your body. Debbie and Carlos also provide you with a step-by-step assisted section where they take you through every movement and so you can practice the movements before diving in and doing the workout. I've had some friends ask me which DVD I recommend they purchase… honestly I can't answer that as I believe it would be different for everyone. If you are used to doing creative expressive dance and you have some experience with energy work, then Unplugged would be a great place for you to start. If you are more comfortable with a program where you have more instruction, then Global Unity would be a better choice. But I would recommend you buy both, so you can vary your workouts and continue to have fun! If you choose to join a class or purchase one of their DVDs, I can promise you, you will embrace your body, your soul and your life in a way you haven't before, regardless of which DVD you decide to purchase.
