Walk Your Talk
with Aleesha Sattva

I love how my life-path can be so obvious and yet so elusive all at the same time. I know what my path is. I understand it. I can hold it in my mind and feel how tangible it is. It's so clear. Then, in the same breath it can change. The inhale was planned. It made sense. Then with the exhale something new, exciting and totally unexpected takes place and my path is visibly different.

I've been going to a BodyTalk practitioner for a few years. The sessions I've done with her have been some of the greatest spiritual, emotional and mental growth I've experienced so far during this incarnation and it's even affected/changed some of the experiences from my past incarnations as well. All in all, it's been a beautiful path to be on.

A few weeks ago she contacted me and told me that she was finally an instuctor. I always wanted to be her first student for a particular course called "Access". I told her to sign me up immediately! Parz decided to join me and we hosted the class in our condo. We learned a lot during those nine hours and it changed our paths! Both of our paths. The next thing we knew we were taking the "Fundamentals" course. Four intensive days of learning. Our brains hurt. We were so exhausted by the end of the day each day but that didn't stop us from doing sessions on each other at night. Since we completed our course we've done at least one session every day — often more. We've watched with wide-eyes as our path has opened up in front of us in a whole new way. What we thought we'd be doing has transformed itself to include working with clients. BodyTalk is so life-healing that to not share this with those we love and those we know would be… well let's just agree to say it wouldn't be living our lives the way we live our lives. We wouldn't be walking our talk or living our truth!

So our kids and loved ones have been enjoying the fruits of our labour-of-love. BodyTalk has become our passion. We think about it all the time. It's transforming us and those around us!

In a few months I leave for the Bahamas with Parz. I'm going to be taking my yoga instructors course and he's going to do Karma Yoga. Together we'll be growing and —once again transforming our path. I wonder who and what we'll be then?

I feel so blessed to be living this life. To be walking my path. I love that I embrace change with a smile and a nod—trusting the Goddess completely in everything She does with and for me. Of course knowing that Mom is there with Her, watching me transform makes me smile.

So here's my question for you? When was the last time you exhaled and change transformed your being? Did you welcome it?

Remember even a change that feels like a step backwards when it comes has a beautiful silver lining that, until it's ready to shine, often stays elusive.

Embrace your path fully but be prepared to go with the flow. Often the greatest gifts are within the flow.
