Freshies Cloth Menstrual Pads WAHM Kendell Schafer 
I have discovered a wonderful product I'm bursting at the seams to tell you all about! Recently, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on some cloth menstrual pads, made by a great WAHM (working at home mom) Kendell Schafer. I made my own pads years ago and have been uncomfortable, feeling overstuffed and insecure wearing them for years. I never knew when they would slip out of place and the bulk!…oh the bulk was so uncomfortable, especially when sitting in a chair (like at the computer) - literally I would go numb! It was awful. So one day I got an opportunity to try out Kendell's pads and am I ever glad I did. They are so soft, so luxurious - it's almost sinful to think they are made to soak up blood! (Yes, that's right, we menstruate, we bleed - I'm just stating the obvious here folks.) Her pads are made of hemp fleece - known for longevity and durability - and topped with a wonderful 80/20 cotton/poly velour! Yes, you are reading this correctly - velour! Mine are in a multitude of colours - purple, cranberry, spring green… I even have one made from wool - which I save for my particularly heavier days when I know I'll be out for a while so absorbency is ultra-important! I prefer a long pad so I have her long/wide SnapOn pads - which stay in place so nicely, plus the absorbent layer snaps into place as well. Then when you need a quick change you just change the top layer and leave the bottom (safety layer as I like to call it) in place. This allows for quicker changes and saves on the laundry as well. She also makes pads for thongs! You heard it ladies, cloth pads for thongs! Same comfy soft materials and same great absorbency - the only difference here is, it's a much smaller pad. Short and thin and amazingly comfy! You may think the smaller pad would make for less dependability but that's not the case at all. You get the same great pad only without the extra SnapOn liner - they still snap into place on your thong, giving you a totally-stay-in-place pad! Please stop and think about what you are doing to our beloved Mother Earth every time you throw out a used disposable pad (or disposable diaper). I strongly urge you to purchase some pads (price list click here) and give yourself and the environment a great gift! You'll have much greater comfort during that already uncomfortable-time-of-the-month and save a great deal of money as well. Also, when purchasing pads, I strongly urge you to support WAHM companies like Freshies - it assists moms to stay at home with their children and earn an income at the same time. So support a WAHM - support your environment and support yourself with one of these pampering pads from Freshies today! It may take a while for them to fill your custom order… since they are also caring for their children and homes, but it's truly worth the wait. Personally, I like knowing I'm helping a mom fulfull her dream to stay home with her kids! Oh and in case you didn't already know… Freshies also makes wonderful cloth diapers!
