Tibetan Master Chants Lama Tashi Jonathan Goldman I'm not too sure where to begin with this review. To say I love this CD - attempting to put one simple word to explain it - almost seems wrong and yet there is no other word which can truly describe how I feel when I listen to it. L O V E so simple and yet… so completely encompassing. Jonathan has once again created a masterpiece, a work of art within the vibration of sound. He has recorded these Mantras (chanted by Lama Tashi) to assist our growth, healing, learning and understanding of what and who we are. The process he has chosen is simple. First they set the motivation (to set the intent and request the sounds be used for the betterment of all) and then they chant the Mantra of Blessing to bring in purification. They continue with each chant bringing in different qualities (tantric abilities, enlightenment, compassion, wisdom, power, long life, good karma, protection, healing) and then they close with a Dedication Prayer (to acknowledge the energy which was created). Total running time is 57:32. The little booklet which accompanies the CD is essential. It explains all the Mantras. Translates them so you understand what you are listening to (or chanting if you are choosing to use this CD to learn to chant). It also lets you know the purpose of each piece. Lastly, it introduces you to Lama Tashi. The first time I heard it, I found it a little frightening. Lama Tashi's deep tones were a bit reminiscient of a horror film, but once I listened to the first few chants on the CD I was very absorbed in it's depth. I found I resonated strongly with different Mantras on different days depending on where I was emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically. I highly recommend this CD. Read the booklet and allow yourself to become immersed within the vibrations. Oh I have found another word to express the feeling I get when listening to this CD L I G H T.
