A Spiritually Enlightening Online Magazine. July's Theme: "Risibility" We are back!!! Our time at an ashram was intense, overwhelming, wonderful, enlightening and so much more. Name an emotion and we probably experienced it. The best one of all though was the one we experienced during our handfasting on the beach around midnight. The sky was filled with stars and billowing clouds. The moon illuminated them as I looked up at Parz as we spoke our vows to one another. The soft velvet sand beneath our feet grounded us while our hearts soared.
Becoming a yoga instructor was so much more than simply learning how to teach yoga. We were initiated into a mantra, given a spiritual name (mine is Isvari and Parz's is Isvara) and schooled on the many aspects of what it is to be a yogi. I couldn't have done it without the support of Satydev though. I thank him for his kindness and understanding — and his willingness to share so much of himself with us. Who I am today is different from the woman who boarded the plane for the Bahamas in early March and he is a big part of those changes.
This issue is about risibility. Risibility is the sense of ludicrous within something amusing. I hope the articles we've brought together in this issue give you a good laugh, open your heart and/or assist to brighten your day.
We are saying good-bye to one of our long-time writers. DJ Brown-Jewitt is moving on to focus on her blog and so she won't be gifting us her thoughts here. Do follow her there as she has great value to share.
Now please
enjoy this issue. Embrace it fully. Immerse yourself in the words the writers are choosing to share with you and know that we here at TSM honour each and every one of you who visit us every issue and finds blessing within our sharings and remember to giggle. Giggling is good.
