Chasing Life
by Dj Brown

A golden pendulum begins its morning up-swing spearing the horizon with luminescent rays of light.  Morning breaks with warm greetings and reaches out for the light in us to join its reflection to bless the day and those with whom we would share it.

In this moment of greeting our day, we prepare ourselves to start fresh where all things are hopeful. All we need for the day, we hold in our power of right action, kindness, and willingness to seek our goals with an open heart and mind.

Negotiating our day with a higher purpose of good for all allows us the freedom to balance work, play and rest knowing we are reflecting our Sacred Source which greeted us when we woke.

Whatever the optimal time of day is best for you, make the most of it. Make your way through this time at a pace which gives you the chance to be in the right place at the right time. (Allow yourself to participate with universal positioning to claim what you need in a time that's correct for you.)

This kind of self-care allows our body, mind, spirit to connect with our higher consciousness for tuning to the ethereal rhythm and balance of life, therefore, moving us closer to the centred core of who we truly are. There may have been times we wanted something so strongly we ignored the signs of coming disappointment because we forced our will over right timing and placement. What we ended up with didn't meet our needs. Instead, we may have found ourselves pushing it aside and looking for what better suited us.

Chasing life is breathing in the sweetness of the day, giving yourself time to listen and be with others in a comfortable attendance to their well-being. It is also the self-care of feeding your dreams. And, growing them by planning with reflection on the past for important history to help us move forward with seasoned knowledge. We can use the experiences of today to acquire the most relevant tools useful for our goals. Finally, we can lay out our road map for the future, taking care not to defer what can be done today.

Chasing life is ultimately squeezing out the very sweetness of life our Sacred Source created for our pleasure and purpose. By recognizing the pleasures and purpose created for us, we also recognize their source.

At some point in our day, it's good to stop and remember the experience of living. I do this at different intervals by jotting my blessings in my little Moleskin journal I always have at hand. There is nothing more inspiring than to read our own words about how joyful and full a day has been. When we record these times, a need was met at the precise time and place which will help us remember not to push the river, so to speak.

There's an unmistakable natural law which shows us that natural balance taken to the extreme is the point of destruction. For instance, a gardener who waters as needed can produce a well-maintained plant environment in the garden. However, if the gardener waters continually day and night hoping to double the harvest, the garden will move past the optimal point to a point of no return where the soil becomes a wasteland, and the garden implodes by moisture poisoning.

Chasing life isn't the same as racing against the clock. Time waits for no one, and if the objective is not to be left behind, then the only possible solution is to balance time according to your pace. Time chasers eventually become sleepless wounded warriors. On the other hand, chasing life involves noticing what's around you. It's spending each minute purposely lifting up others along your way while meeting your goals.

Time chasers can never beat the clock. Life chasers don't have to compete with the clock, they strive to put themselves in the right position, so when the right time comes, they are naturally ready.

Time chasers run to keep up, because falling behind is laden with formidable consequences. Life chaser's spirit beats in step with the Higher Consciousness who creates time.

I am a devoted life chaser. I intend to live every moment with purpose and gratefulness. There's always enough time to tune into what's around me. I love watching how the seasons change. The colours in winter are so soft, they create a palate that's cashmere warm. In the spring the colours change to a vibrant palate of pulsing energy. Summer's colour palate reminds me of rich shimmering silk. And then there is autumn's palate of twirled cotton candy.

The single most reflection I see is the reflection looking back at me, whether that be a newborn child's eyes, the dragonfly hovering just above the river. It might be the oak tree out back or my favourite tree, the old woman willow, hanging around the river bank. It could be the weathered old face who's seen much more of life than I, or the foggy pasture just before the sun steals the fog away. I know I'm in the right place at the right time receiving exactly what I need at the moment. So if you're looking for me sometime and I'm not home, just leave me a message and I'll get in touch as soon a possible 'cause I'm out chasing life again.
