The sun rises. Noon calls. Evening sighs. Night skies linger only long enough for morning to find its way home from moon glow to dawn's light. Change comes and goes constantly. A flame ignites to light an evening campfire; so too, it begins to die as the first spark eats the tinder. Impermanence allows us to enjoy the campfire. Time is everything and nothing in the sequence of movement as a drop of rain evaporates before it touches the earth. Clearly life is not stagnant. To the tree falling in the forest - silent to our ears - timing is essential and meaningless as it comes to rest on Mother Earth. Life is a metamorphosis. A butterfly comes to life flying, mating, fulfilling its destiny attracted to sunshine, green fields sprinkled with wildflowers. The delicate butterfly spends its entire life dwelling on loveliness. Embracing impermanence means we're growing into our spiritual light and our love expands to contain it.

Passing time hums the promise of change. The fuel of life igniting and burning time propels us forward into the moment. This is spirit moving, growing, loving, illuminating. Spirit, our companion never failing, ever encouraging our most innocent human instincts and intuitions to guide us. In childlike innocence we are able to journey through life without being a burden to Mother Earth. However, that childlike state is elusive. We must practice and cultivate our child within.

Old woman,
how is it you so peacefully
sit in the grass
playing your music?
Will you teach me?
My daughter, my music
is not for teaching.
It is born in the garden
of my spirit.
Notes chosen from the stars,
Rhythm steeped strong by
walking life's journey,
My fingers pluck strings
of joy with spring peeking
up through the snow.
The look in a newborn's eyes,
wonder of holding
a lover's hand.
Hardship found in the
hollows of discrimination,
brokenhearted at
touching a wall to honour
those who gave their
life in war.
My music is a symphony
of my experiences.
The scale pulls the space
between earth and
the Everlands closer together.
My music cries, laughs,
screams and is in places
silent.

You are young.
Be ready,
for change will come,
and one day,
you too will sit in the grass and
play the music of your life.

As time spins away in the wind our names are written in the stars and we become pure spirit. The gravity of change holding us in its flow until the right time comes to fly free in the music of our life making our way home to the Beloved Breath of Creation.  

A mystical curiosity about nature and the ability to paint pictures with words gives this gifted writer, public speaker and artist the ability to serve and share with those she walks her journey with. Dj Brown earned a degree in metaphysical ministry and counselling. She was born a sensitive to spirits and finds her abilities enhanced by her spirit guides and earthly teachers. Dj describes her life goal as one of further developing the tapestry of her spirit to reflect the compassionate, loving Source of her being.
