Beyond the Indigo Children The New Children and the Coming of the Fifth World P.M.H. ATAWATER, L.H.D ISBN#: 1-59143-051-8 This book was really hard to review: I have so many great things to say about it but I don't want to give away too much of the content. First of all, go buy the book. If you have children or grandchildren you need to read this book. The author talks about evolution, the Mayan calendar, the fifth world and the importance of five as pertaining to the Children we are raising today: Fifth world, fifth Chakra, fifth root race - you really have to read the book to understand. "Beyond the Indigo Children" has helped me so much in understanding my daughter. I recognize myself and my daughter as indigo children: the term "Indigo Children" refers to a new wave of children who are more open to their intuition and spirituality. Often, but not always, these children have a blue "indigo" aura. Everyone talks about that mysterious handbook their children didn't come with - here it is. An elderly woman at my place of work recently commented about my daughter, "Oh she's sharp as a tack! It must be difficult to raise these new children. Kids born these days are so much smarter than the kids we had in my day, they're very different." She is right. Kids today are nothing like they used to be. The new children are different from the children of the past because they have to be. The world is evolving and changing and so are the people who will live on it. These kids are not living in the same world their ancestors did. This is a generation of changes for changers. Which is just what "Beyond the Indigo Children" talks about. This book is truly worth a read, I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read it. Keep in mind, this author has some good, sound points to share with you: this isn't some book with some lady spouting crazy ideas. She has spent a lifetime researching her subject: Children, and the book has 25 pages of footnotes and bibliographies to back up her research. I can't say enough: read this book! It's one of the best books I've read in a long time, and has really really helped me understand my daughter's sense of self and spirituality. Reviewed by Amanda Bugeaud
