Vita-Mix Kitchen Appliance
Have you ever used or seen one these being used? If you haven't you are missing out, my friend. This is by far the most versatile appliance I have ever used! Not only does it puree anything to a smooth texture within mere seconds… but it can make hot homemade soup in 4 minutes! Talk about fast food!!! As many of you already know, I'm a Raw-Vegan; which means I don't cook my food, I only warm it. Well my Vita-Mix does that for me. When I make soup (from raw vegetables) it's ready for me to eat in 3 minutes. Warmed just nicely but not over 110 degrees F. If you aren't raw and want a hot soup… then 4 minutes will do you just fine. It's steaming when you open the lid! 2.4 Horse Power motor gets your blending speed high enough to break down the cellular walls of your greens, vegetables and fruits you put in so your body can absorb all the yummy healthy nutrients from your soups and smoothies. Trust me, this is so much more powerful than any store-bought blender on the market! Oh ya, the smoothies you can make are quick and delicious! I put an avocado pit in my morning smoothie every day and it has no problem blending it down to a smooth consistency! Now that's performance! I even make a wonderfully delicious wheat grass smoothie with my Vita-Mix. Here's a link to the process on my blog. Of course this is just the tip of the iceberg of what this machine can do. I grind up flax seeds, coffee and you can even do grains! You can knead bread dough, make ice cream (in 30 seconds) and homemade salsa! A day doesn't go by that I'm not using my Vita-Mix. I usually use it 2 or 3 times a day. Clean up is a breeze. You simply rinse it out, put in some warm water and add a drop of dishwashing liquid - turn it on for 30 seconds and VOILA it's clean! You see, the enormity of it scared me, but just for a brief moment. Then I placed it in it's proper place in my Raw kitchen, watched the instructional DVD which came with it and then began to use it. The first thing I made was a green smoothie and it was not only the best green smoothie I had ever drunk in my life… but it was also the smoothest smoothie I've ever had in my life! It was oh so thick, icy and green. I use my Vita-Mix no less that 4 times a day, it is wonderful and best of all easy to clean up, just rinse it out and get it ready for it's next use.
