Walk Your Talk
with Aleesha Stephenson

I appreciate my life. I love everything about my life. I love my path, I love my experiences and I love all those who are sharing my life with me, at this time.

I appreciate my Mom. She's so amazing; I wish you could all know her. She's so strong. She taught me how to say 'no'. She taught me how to stand up and be proud of who I am. She taught me how to be a strong, independent woman living all of my dreams and making them come true for myself. Without my Mom, I would not be the woman I am today. I wouldn't have the life I have… I wouldn't be writing this for you all to read as my connection to her is what brought about my first writing job! (And that job lead me down the path to creating my own magazine.)

I appreciate my sister, Seva. She has been by my side, holding the light and shining it on my shadows, assisting me to grow as a person in ways I never thought possible. She shares my joys and my sorrows and supports me through both. She's even willing to listen to my silly thoughts and giggle with me - a true sister indeed!

I appreciate my eldest daughter. She has brought me lessons which I never even knew I needed. She has assisted me to grow over the 21 years of our relationship and was the first person to invoke the truest of love within my heart.

I appreciate my son. He blesses me with his beautiful smile and makes me laugh almost daily. I watch with pride as he grows in a young man - making his way in this world. When he was born, I never knew such a deep love could be felt twice, he showed me how much a mother can love.

I appreciate my youngest daughter. Her unique perspective on life and 'out of the blue' thoughts which create a deep and meaningful conversation starter on so many occasions often assist me to contemplate things which hadn't occurred to me before. She's a bright light this little one. The depth of her soul is amazing to me and she's only 9 - I look forward to watching her grow.

I appreciate my friend Georgia. She is so grounded and real. Her support and willingness to share her light with others is almost overwhelming but in a very good way. She's one of those rare people who are willing to step up to the plate if she sees she can make a difference. She comes to your side, not to take away your lesson or rescue you from yourself, but instead she slips her hand in yours and holds the light with you… embracing your choices and gently suggesting some you may not see at this time. Georgia is taking my body, mind and soul to a place of health, which I never knew I needed, and I am very grateful for this! Namaste' my friend, namaste'.

I appreciate my girlfriend Christine. We've been through so much together. I met her as a Reiki student and we soon became friends. We've been there, through the bad times and the good - holding each other while we cried and laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes! Our relationship is a unique one in my life. No one could ever take her place.

I appreciate my friend Melissa. She has more knowledge in her little toe than most people do in their entire body. She is open and eager to share information with me. She is willing to listen to me and real when I listen to her. I love the balance we have in our friendship. Thank you for assisting me to learn more about my path as I teach you more about yours.

I appreciate my brother Doug. He has been there, over the years to bring FUN into my children's lives. He takes them places and does stuff with them that I would never do. No mountain is too high, ocean too deep and lake too peaceful for him. Piling them into his truck, they're off on another wonderful adventure! I will be handfasting Doug and Stephanie this summer - I cannot think of anyone on this earth I would rather share this experience with. Being present in that moment, as they begin their life together, filled with love - I'm in awe of the honour of that moment. Thank you Doug.

I appreciate my writers. I learn so much from each one of them every issue (and often times between the issues as well). The way each one of them shares on such a deep level… trusting me with their words, knowing I won't twist and distort them - that is a huge honour to be given. Many of them have created a lasting friendship with me and this really is the biggest gift of all. Having them come in as strangers and stay as friends. Thank you all.

Lastly I appreciate, deeply and lovingly, my hubby. He's the one behind the scenes, supporting all of my choices without question. I mean it… without question. I don't think there's been a single time in the 10 years we've been married that he didn't support my choice 100%. If I need a new computer - he's off running to the Mac Station to get it for me. If I need a new program, his eyes glaze over as he mumbles, "Then buy it honey". *laughing* If I want to teach a new class, he's on board completely. Anything I want, anything I want to achieve, any dream I have… he's the soil from which I grow. All I need to do is plant a seed… and he assists me to make it happen. I am truly blessed to have him by my side.

I have so much to be truly thankful for. All my friends, my family, inner and outer circle of people in my life - they are such a great group. I love each and every one of them.

Today I am so happy and grateful for my life.
I am so happy and grateful for my light lean healthy being.
I am so happy and grateful for my circle of support.
I am so happy and grateful for my Guides and helpers in this life.
I am so happy and grateful to all those who light my way.
I am so happy and grateful for the laughter I share with others and the laughter they share with me.
I am so happy and grateful for my path.
I am so happy.
I am so grateful.
I am I am I am.
