A Spiritually Enlightening Online Magazine. May's Theme: "Being Present" My name is Klaus Bohn I have been a professional photographer since fall of 1975. My studio at the time was called "Photography by Klaus Bohn Ltd". I Moved to Victoria B.C. Canada in 2000 and my studio is now called "Photographic Art".
My brand is "feeling more deeply about photography". A student told me once when you are photographing a person or scene, a gun shot could go off beside you and you would not hear it - for me that is being present, in the moment!
Photography is more then a job, it is my passion a very big part of my life. I won't retire because I love what I do - it is part of me.
I have earned my Master of Photographic Art have my Fellowship and Accredited in portraiture.
More then that - to have a vision - to see - from the heart that each image can impart feelings that surge though the veins when the art piece is complete. Taking the photo is only part of the experience - photo shop can add to the outcome - hand embellishment adds to ones own hand at painting on a photograph, especially if it is put on canvas. Giclee finish has been my best seller because of its long endurance timewise.
I currently have three books: My first book is "50 Principles of Composition in Photography." How can we read a photograph if we do not know the ABC's? The more we know of how to put the image together the more we communicate to those who can read.
My second book: "The Art Within Portrait Photography" deals with what was in my mind and the heart of the photograph and is explained with each photograph.
My third book is in the making, "The Illusions of Photography," somewhat self explanatory.
