A Spiritually Enlightening Online Magazine. November's Theme: "Grateful" Recently someone asked me if Timeless Spirit Magazine is my job or if it's simply a fun side hobby. My immediate response is always the same - I don't look at anything in my life as a job. I look at what I choose to do with the precious 1440 minutes in my day as my passion.
I have found (over the years) the more time I spend on the things that I love then more things I love flow into my life.
I don't look at homeschooling my kids as a job and I don't look at sweeping the floor as a job either. Instead I simply look at everything which fills my life as passion and responsibility. Yes I'm adding responsibility to the mix because we all know we have things which need to be done.
It's my responsibility to care for my pets - which in turn brings me a lot of joy. When I go for a walk with my daughter and we discuss different social topics (like how to be a friend to others, random acts of kindness etc.) I look at this as my responsibility, not only as a parent but as a role model.
Whether we choose the role or not, we are all role models. People look to us as a guide, a measurement of what they can or cannot do. Teenagers who know you, other adults, younger kids
they are looking to you, each and every day for guidance and trust me when I say
they are looking more at your actions (and inactions) than they are listening to your words! This is why I not only tell my daughter about the importance of random acts of kindness, but I also gift them away.
This brings me back to Timeless Spirit. This magazine assists me to help others. The writers are able to touch their audience through the written word, the readers resonate with what they read and make changes in their lives
and the people around them see the changes and change too. Within all of this—all the monies earned by this magazine are donated back out into the community. So does Timeless Spirit pay my phone bill? No it does not, but it does pay other people's phone bills and that brings me great joy. That's my passion.
