Dance Marriah Secrist I rest now, after the sun sprang To life on the desert plain: my body cracked for flow. It splashes toward me, and like new it revives my beaten soul, And the fire leaps with a new will. In the yonder merriment, A bow dances upon the fiddle with a life Of its own, and I stare; Watching the spirit unfold itself, And enter the other side. A jolt of energy overtakes the old, and like lightening, The spirit in my fingers; ever swaying with the passion of life, Flows like a river of never ending light, Always shining, always beautiful As a silhouette of the one goal: The expression of the ghost; For life, for touch, for soul I slow with the dancing bow, And my aim is touched.
