There's a fresh rain-washed breeze today and it reminds me of the Majestic Universal Breath we are all kindred spirit to.  

Somewhere in the world, there is always a breeze blowing. The sun is rising someplace. Night's moon is illuminating a velvet black star-struck pasture. Always, life is pulsating to the Universal Breath stitching us together with strands of common needs like love, compassion, and understanding.  

A loving, compassionate hand extended to another with a respectful desire to understand their situation is a worthy pursuit in life. It's easier to walk hand-in-hand with another if we honour our common Universal Breath. Walking together like this means when we stumble and certainly that will happen, we have the support we need to stand and walk on.  

Because it is so easy to get sidetracked and distracted, we may sometimes forget our relationships are reflections of our inner well-being. We may be tempted to turn aside what we hold in our hand for a trip to the neverland of what once was. But, the past is gone. It lives only in our memory and we can't go back. Not here yet, the future may not come for us in the way we expect.  

Now, this moment is all there is. All we need to grow and live wholly in tune with others and life about us is contained in this single increment of our time in life. It's where all opportunities lie in waiting. It is where hope lives and love flourishes. Look and see what there is now, who you're with, and who you're travelling with.  

Treasure it all; it is the most important time in your life. It might be what you've been waiting for, but some of us fail to recognize our heart's desire, which is standing right there with us.  

When we look in the mirror and see the eyes looking back at us we're looking at the most important person in the world to us. We give to others what we are capable of offering ourselves. Look with compassion and love into those eyes. What lies behind them was created by love. If their owner is a wounded warrior or a healing student, they are worthy of your attention and understanding.  

Our relationship to life and others is one and the same. Our Universal Breath reaches out beyond our imagination to touch each of us personally. It holds and comforts us. By acknowledging and honouring its presence, we become an open channel and can pass the blessing forward in our relationships.  

If I could measure the success in my personal relationships, I would do so with the benchmark of joy. I believe joy is a true measure of my state of spirit.  

As the breeze teases my hair and kisses my cheek, I am reminded the Universal Breath is the essence of my spirit, having this human experience. It is the fabric of the tapestry of my soul that I paint my life experiences on.  

I honour the Universal Breath as my source of reference for all my relationships. As I look out across the field, I can see the blades of grass waving in the breeze. I know one grass blade will not keep the soil from eroding away on the hill. However together, they stand strong with roots bonding together and are capable of holding back erosion in a powerful rainstorm.  

I choose to stand strong with each of you. I treasure you and our kindred bond with each grateful breath I take. I offer you my hand as a symbol of our relationship. I wish for each of you the best I would choose for my own life.  

The seasons of our lives come and they go. We may never meet face to face but I have some understanding of you because I know myself - my strengths and weaknesses. I love you for who you are because you are my kindred companion on this journey we so lovingly covet as life. And, for what we are together, I joyfully stand in the breeze giving thanks for this fruitful moment.               

A mystical curiosity about nature and the ability to paint pictures with words gives this gifted writer, public speaker and artist the ability to serve and share with those she walks her journey with. Dj Brown earned a degree in metaphysical ministry and counseling. She was born a sensitive to spirits and finds her abilities enhanced by her spirit guides and earthly teachers. Dj describes her life goal as one of further developing the tapestry of her spirit to reflect the compassionate, loving Source of her being.
