Earth Day An Alphabet Book Gary Kowalski Illustrations by Rocco Baviera ISBN#: 978-1-55896-542-3 This hard covered book is perfect for little hands to hold. I love that the pages are paper rather than a board book, since the book is talking about cherishing our earth, our children can begin with cherishing the pages of this book. This book begins with "We give thanks…" and ends with "We are grateful…". In between are colourful illustrations and words a child may not normally hear. As a homeschooling mom I love this because this provides an opportunity for my child to learn about critters which are not normally around them. Of course there are plenty of words they will recognize like bumblebees, bananas, blueberries, and beagles! My ten-year old daughter loves the "X" page, I won't tell you what it says… but I think you'll love it as well! This is simply a lovely book and would make an equally lovely gift for someone you love, who loves the earth and all its' residents. Reviewed by, Aleesha Stephenson
